Volunteers are always needed, highly appreciated, and make a lasting impact on the lives of the girls at House of Hope. School Volunteer Opportunities
This is our largest need for volunteers. If you are available Monday-Friday between 8:30 and 3pm, we need your help. We need tutors, teacher assistants, and lunch providers to help with the school. No prior teaching experience needed, just a willing heart and body. School volunteering will allow you to have group and one-on-one interactions with the girls. We also need people to provide lunch during the school day. You can volunteer once a week or once a month. You can also drop off lunch the night before or bring your children to help you cook in the morning. We offer lots of flexibility in providing lunches!

Night Tutors
Every Thursday from 7-8:30 is homework night. We need tutors in specific areas to help the girls in tough subjects. We most frequently need science, math, and english tutors. This is an ongoing need that changes as the girls change subjects.

Meal Providers
Provide lunch or dinner for 7 girls and 1 staff during the week. The girls learn much about nutrition, portion size, and eating healthy while at House of Hope. Help them get the nutrients they need by providing a well-balanced meal. You can cook from scratch, order take-out, provide a frozen meal, or teach the girls how to make your favorite dish. You can volunteer once a week, once a month, or once a year to bring a meal.

Home and Yard Maintenance
We have no maintenance staff at House of Hope. The house, school, offices, storeroom, yard, and gardens are solely maintained by volunteers. Tasks such as mowing the yard, pulling weeds, cleaning and organizing the storage room, and minor maintenance needs around the house are done by our volunteers. Yard maintenance is a great task for large groups looking for a volunteer project.

Special Events
We need help with our annual banquet, golf tournament, and other special events. If you would like to help find items for our silent auction, work with the girls on music or dance, work the sign in table, make name tags, or design a newsletter, then we can use your help. We also need people to help with bulkmails. Many of these tasks can be done from your home and are on an as-needed basis.
