House of Hope services a 3-4 hour radius of Clayton, NC. Clayton, NC is located 1/2 hour southeast of Raleigh, NC. Our waiting list is always growing and we receive 5-10 phone calls a day from families in need of our services. Teenage girls and families are in crisis and in desperate need of help!

North Carolina Statistics
Child abuse and neglect are on the rise all over North Carolina. According to the North Carolina Child Advocacy Institute, in 2001 there were 32,581 substantiated child abuse/neglect reports. There are also 33,093 youth involved in the NC juvenile justice system, a 14.9% rise since 1996.

Other startling statistics include the following:
• One-third of all deaths from the ages of 10 through 14 are caused by suicide (The National Christian Foundation)
• At least 1 out of 4 girls have been sexually abused by age 18 (The National Christian Foundation)
• 64.5% of high school students had at least one drink of alcohol one or more times in the past 30 days (NC Child Advocacy Institute)
• 1 out of 3 youth are not completing high school in North Carolina (NC Child Advocacy Institute)
• Youth ages 12 to 17 are twice as likely as adults to be victims of serious violent crimes, which include aggravated assault, rape, robbery, and homicide. (OJJDP)
